If we can be forgived for anything by God then why on our death beds can’t we simply repent and got to heaven?
Can’t we just ask for forgiveness before death then we will go to heaven, will we not? even if we live a life of many sins which provide great enjoyment.
In theory, your statement is accurate. But practically, it presents several problems.
First, you assume that we will have the leisure to reflect on our upcoming deaths on our “death beds.” However, we may die suddenly, e.g., in a car crash, and have no opportunity to repent at the last moment.
Second, a death-bed conversion would have to be sincere, not just “sorry God, now let me in.” If we intentionally put off repentance until the moment of death, the odds are that it is just lip service rather than genuine repentance, which won’t repair a broken relationship with God.
Third, sin does not provide “great enjoyment.” It invariably produces misery, emotional damage, and a twisted character. God made us, and he wants us to avoid sin in order to experience the happiness he planned in our design.
